Oxnard police apprehended two 19-year-old men and confiscated a loaded 3D-printed handgun following a brief car chase on Wednesday night.
The incident unfolded around 7:38 p.m. when officers from the Oxnard Police Department’s gang unit attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. As per to the source cbsnews
The driver, Oscar Villafana, allegedly refused to pull over, leading officers on a short pursuit. During the chase, passenger Jesse Olivares reportedly threw the loaded firearm out of the vehicle.
The car stopped a short time later, allowing officers to make the arrests.
Villafana was taken into custody on suspicion of evading an officer and weapons-related charges. Olivares faces weapons-related charges as well.
