Oxnard Man Dies After Assault and Multiple Vehicle Strikes

OXNARD, Calif. – A man tragically died after being assaulted and left lying in the road, where he was subsequently struck by multiple vehicles on Sunday night.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 300 block of East Hueneme Road, just east of Saviers Road.

Oxnard Police Department received numerous calls about a fight involving several individuals.

Upon arrival, officers found the man, estimated to be between 50-60 years old, lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Find the sourve at Yahoo

Witnesses reported that the man had been assaulted by several people, who then left him in the road.

He was hit by at least two vehicles whose drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. It remains unclear if additional vehicles also struck the man.

In response to the incident, East Hueneme Road was closed between Saviers Road and Arcturus Avenue from approximately 10:40 p.m. Sunday until 8:50 a.m. Monday to allow for investigation and cleanup.
