Fatal Shooting in Ventura Sparks Homicide Investigation

VENTURA, Calif. — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Ventura late Saturday night.

The incident was reported at 10:45 p.m. in the 100 block of West Simpson Street. Upon arrival, police discovered a man who had been shot multiple times while seated in the passenger seat of a vehicle.

He was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim’s identity has not yet been released. As per to the source cbsnews

Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect approached the victim’s car on foot before fleeing the scene. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear and is still under investigation.
