Two Teens Charged for Assaulting Elderly Homeless Woman in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. – On Friday, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced that two teenagers have been charged in juvenile court for assaulting an elderly homeless woman.

The 13-year-old and 14-year-old are facing charges of assault likely to cause great bodily injury, conspiracy to commit a crime, and elder abuse according to the source foxla news

The incident occurred on June 14, when the teens, part of a group of four minors riding electric bikes, approached a 66-year-old woman lying in a sleeping bag under the Highway 33 underpass at Main Street.

The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office detailed that the two teens repeatedly kicked the woman in the head and upper torso until a witness recording the assault intervened.
