Columbus, OH – A 20-year-old woman has been sentenced to a minimum of 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the 2022 death of another woman at Wedgewood Village Apartments.
Nachyla Halton, 20, admitted to killing 19-year-old Jazmine Chester on May 27, 2022. Chester’s body was discovered face down in her apartment bathroom with a gunshot wound to the face after she had been missing for over a week. As per to the source 10tv
The discovery was made during a well-being check on Briggs Road near Wedgewood Drive.
Halton was apprehended by police in South Euclid, a suburb located about 10 miles east of Cleveland, on unrelated charges.
Investigators linked her to Chester’s death, having established that Halton had been seen with Chester before the fatal incident.
