OXNARD, Calif. – The Oxnard Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) concluded an investigation into the narcotic sales activities of Victor Ceja, a 38-year-old Oxnard resident.
Detectives gathered enough evidence to secure a search warrant for Ceja’s residence on the 100 block of North McKinley Avenue.

The operation led to the seizure of a significant quantity of suspected Fentanyl, a potent opioid often linked to fatal overdoses. Evidence related to narcotic sales was also found.
The DEA states that Fentanyl is approximately 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin. Alarmingly, 26% of tablets tested in DEA labs contain a lethal dose of Fentanyl.

Additionally, an illegal rifle was discovered in Ceja’s possession. With a prior felony conviction, Ceja is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms.
He was arrested on multiple narcotic and gun-related charges and booked at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
The DEU includes detectives federally deputized as Task Force Officers by the FBI, assigned to the Ventura County Criminal Investigation Division.
They are responsible for investigating violations of U.S. drug and criminal laws.
