22-Year-Old Woman Stabbed During Albany Robbery at Bus Stop

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany Police are investigating a robbery and stabbing that occurred Friday night, leaving a 22-year-old woman injured.

The incident took place around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Western Avenue and Sprague Place.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the young woman with a stab wound to her back. Emergency medical personnel treated her on-site before she was transported to Albany Medical Center.

Fortunately, her injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening. As per to the source timesunion

Investigations revealed that the victim, along with two others, was sitting at a bus stop when they were approached by two males.

One of the suspects brandished what appeared to be a knife. The assailants forcibly took personal items from the victims and stabbed the 22-year-old woman during the robbery.

Police have not disclosed whether the suspects are known to the victims or if any arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to gather more information.
